WELCOME! To the H.O. Reproductions home website where we feature our reproduction chrome parts for vintage Aurora Slot Cars. Currently our line of parts is limited to the Vibrator and T-jet style hotrods, along with the small roll bar for a #1377 Chaparral. This site is just a small look at our products and what you can do with them. |

We at H.O. Reproductions are just old toolmakers who love the slot car hobby and came up with this idea in our spare time. We have long wanted to race our Aurora Hotrods, but let’s face it, if you want an original Aurora hot rod with all of the chrome intact, you’re going to pay some long bucks for it and racing it would be the last thing on your mind. The original parts are so frail from age that they would snap off the first time it rolled over in any kind of competitive racing at all. So we came up with the idea of “backwards engineering” the parts and built a small plastic injection mold to make them. We design the part, build the mold out of hardened tool steel, and mold the parts in a press all in one process. They are then sent out of state to be vacuum chromed. Plastic injection is an expensive process, but the parts are far superior to resin cast parts in strength, appearance and fit. |
